Dancing Dee & Daphne

Well, I celebrated another fabulous year of God’s blessings upon my life. I count it all joy the the places and people God has introduced me to in the past year and I’m looking forward to the years ahead!
In celebrating my birthday I released two new art prints under my Dynasmiles collection. To purchase this art print please visit: http://thedynasmiles.etsy.com
Design Spotted!

Well, I’m home sick today and what else can I do in bed but browse the Internet. You could imagine my delightful surprise when I came across this picture featuring a logo I did for a friend a while ago. She now has the logo on t-shirts and it looks great!
Women’s Conference Banner

I was commissioned to do this quick banner design for a women’s conference happening in October. This large scale banner measures 72″x48″ so it’s HUGE! Printing the banner was handled by one of my preferred vendors.
Sarah’s Save-The-Date

I recently did a Save-The-Date design and print out for an upcoming bride. The design was created around the provided photo in the couple’s wedding colors. And I’m happy to report that she received her cards in the mail and absolutely loved them!
Renee’s Character

I just finished another custom illustration for a lovely lady who’s looking to use it online as her avatar. She wanted to make sure her freckles where showing… do you see them?!
DIY Wedding Invite

My hubby came home today with the first completed invitation for his sister’s upcoming wedding! The lovely bride asked me to add some flair to the invitation wording and so I did by using some romantically styled fonts. I designed the invitation and rsvp cards and the bride and groom had it printed and cut on beautiful metallic cardstock before they assembled it themselves.
I think it came out great!
Friday Find

So I was cleaning out my desk drawer and I found a sketch I did back in 2006. It’s of a little girl holding a present larger than she is. How cute!
A series of similar sketches were used as greeting card covers.
Seeing this sketch reminds me that I need to hand draw a lot more.
Pricing a Logo

A general rule of thumb to determine the cost of a professionally designed logo is to consider the time spent in research & development, the level of logo quality produced, the transfer of rights and of files plus the expected life span of the final logo design (well thought out logos have a life span of up to 10 years). Factoring in all this, an individual or small company should be prepared to pay anywhere from $300 to $1500 for a premium quality logo.
2nd Time Around

I recently created a large scale banner for a client who happens to be a good friend of mine. She just started her own fashion business and here you see the lovely entrepreneur posing next to her new banner!
